The company
Century is an independent artificial intelligence research lab founded in 2026. Our work is the study of current AI models — how they are structured, what training builds inside them — and the training and finetuning of open-weight models to test that understanding. Our long-term aim is machine reasoning grounded in first principles, applied to extreme engineering: launch systems and construction at scales that do not yet exist.
The lab is early-stage and self-directed. Current activity is hands-on research: running and evaluating open-weight models, building internal tooling, and preparing our first finetuning experiments. Our agenda is public on the research page.
